iOS: eID wallet icon has excess padding and letters should be white by default #1063

Description

Description

Two visual issues with the eID wallet app icon on iOS, flagged by Voldemar (MetaState designer):

  1. Excess padding/empty space — the icon currently has a visible black border/gap around the purple icon, making it look like a smaller icon floating inside the rounded-rectangle frame rather than filling it edge-to-edge.
  2. Letter colour — the "eID" letters should be white by default, even when the user has the dark/black iOS theme active.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install the eID wallet app on an iOS device.
  2. Return to the home screen.
  3. Observe the app icon.

For issue 1: Notice the black empty space surrounding the purple icon artwork inside the rounded square.
For issue 2: Enable the dark system theme (Settings → Display & Brightness → Dark) and observe that the letters are not white.

Expected behavior

  • The icon artwork fills the rounded-rectangle frame with no visible padding or empty space (matching standard iOS icon guidelines).
  • The "eID" and "W3DS" letters are white regardless of the iOS theme, consistent with the design spec.

Supporting Media

  • Device: Mobile (iPhone)
  • OS: iOS
  • Browser: N/A (native app icon)

Additional Context

Reported by Voldemar (MetaState designer). The right-hand side of the attached image shows the desired result: the purple fills the full icon frame and the letters are rendered in white.
