I think any and all complaints about Bluetooth wake would disappear if it was implemented in a way that it could not lead to unintended issues. A part of that is simply making a system-wide toggle, but on top of that, there needs to be an option to have this feature ONLY active when the device is charging, and said option should be the default behavior. 99% of users will not want this feature active in any other scenario; the only major usecase is when the device is docked and may be uncomfortable to reach over to.
There are clear and seemingly obvious cases where the Bluetooth wake feature is a problem. For example, the user sleeps the device and puts it in a bag with a controller, but the controller keeps waking the device, draining its battery and potentially causing it to overheat. Really any scenario where the device is unplugged is one where you don't want to risk this behavior occurring, thus, Bluetooth wake should simply be disabled by default when the device is not plugged in.
This is a very good feature, and I'd love to make use of it, but I simply cannot while also making full use of the Steam Deck as a handheld device. Something definitely needs to be remedied here.
