Remote control with Codex is different than with Claude: it has a dedicated mode for it (and appears to only work from the official installed location on disk, not when run from Nix store). Current Codex option in Agent Box works, but only through ttyd.
We need to figure out a minimal friction remote control codex. This might require a pseudo-agent option like "codex-remote" (or flip it, current become "codex-local"?) which would not run codex but run its remote daemon instead.
