Can't get stepbuilder working

Dear @juulsA , I tried your script but I can't get it working. I successfully get a json file but when I try to launch StepBuilder.exe I always get "Wire not done!" message.
Can you share some sample project which works fine with this script?

Hi, thanks you for sharing the example. This makes it much easier to find the problem for this. Although I haven't exported your example yet, I guess this exception is thrown, because the board contour is not closed. May you could try a simple shape first. e.g. a rectangle, but I will look into it tomorrow as well.

Please take a look at my recently added demo folder, where you'll find the allegro .brd file and the exported .json file.

In response to your exported .json:
I can't say for sure, but it looks like the start- and endpoints don't match exactly. This could cause the error you reported.
My recommendation is: create a closed shape (e.g. rectangle) and modify it in the shape edit mode until it fits your needs.
If you have already done this, it would be more helpful for me, if you could provide me the .brd file at least the board geometry.

Thank you for test board, it works fine. I also tried my board with simple rectangle design outline and I was able to create a 3d model.
Can you try to import this clip to any brd and try to export 3d, please?

This outline was imported from a dxf file and as far as I know pcb editor won't allow you to have an unclosed shape at design outline subclass. So I am pretty sure that my outline is ok.

I tried to export it and ran into the same error. I'll try to figure out if there is anything that is not handled correctly.

Although the shape is interpreted as a closed shape in allegro, the slight differences lead to an error. However, I tried a different approach to handle the edge tolerances. Please give it a try.
