Steps to reproduce
- Install PowerToys 0.100.0.
- Open Keyboard Manager.
- Click Remap a key or Remap a shortcut.
- The error dialog appears and the editor does not open.
✔️ Expected Behavior
The Keyboard Manager editor should open normally.
❌ Actual Behavior
A dialog appears with the following message:
Required components of the Windows App Runtime are missing.
Windows App Runtime Version 2.x (MSIX package version >= 2.0.1.0)
The Keyboard Manager editor never opens.
Existing keyboard remappings continue to work correctly. Only the editor cannot be opened.

- Windows 11 25H2
- OS Build 26200.8655

- PowerToys 0.100.0
Troubleshooting performed
I tried the following, but the issue persists:
- Reinstalled PowerToys using WinGet.
- Completely uninstalled PowerToys and confirmed that
Get-AppxPackage *PowerToys* returned no results before reinstalling.
- Installed PowerToys again using the GitHub machine-wide installer.
- Confirmed that Microsoft Windows App Runtime packages (including 1.8) are installed.
- Confirmed that Microsoft App Installer is installed.
