Issue Subcategory:
Supplementary information is not programmatically associated
User Experience:
Screen reader users may not hear important helper text, requirements, or error context associated with a form field, so they may not understand how to complete it correctly.
Repro Steps:
Start Narrator/NVDA --> Launch URL https://dccentral-test.microsoft.com/training/packages/27d6e984-54f7-4dd0-93a1-983e2136b41d/0/new --> Labor Training --> Add new package -->Details
Actual Result:
Supplementary instructions, helper text, or error text are present near a form control, but there is no programmatic association via aria-described by or aria-description. Narrator announces the field labels but does not announce that these fields are required.
Expected Result:
Narrator should announce the required state for both fields. Relevant descriptions should be programmatically associated so assistive technology can expose them with the control.
How to fix:
Use aria-describedby to reference visible helper or error text, or use aria-description when appropriate for concise descriptive text that is not otherwise visible.
