Confirming this challenge with Debian 12 Bookworm and this very useful SpeechNote Flatpak version 4.8.4 at https://flathub.org/en/apps/net.mkiol.SpeechNote

Below are both a challenge and, for your consideration and for your decision, a suggested resolution

As you know, the challenge is that, according to Flatpak updater, the “runtime org.kde.Platform branch 5.15-24.08 is end-of-life” In other words, this runtime version is no longer receiving security updates. Thus, an increasing security risk since then.

The suggested resolution is to update this runtime above to its latest secured version.

1. Using Terminal, run this command flatpak update

2. Terminal displays this:

   Looking for updates…
    >

2. Using the keyword “EOL”, search this page for the appropriate runtime.
