Hello,
I am new to Vortex, and I plan to use SimX for simulation in my GPU research. I am interested in cache modeling, and for that I would like to use gem5, as it includes Ruby, which enables detailed cache hierarchy modeling. To the best of my knowledge, there is already a wrapper that integrates Vortex as a gem5 SimObject. However, it wraps the entire GPU model, including the caches, whereas I would like gem5 to handle the cache modeling and use only the core functionality from Vortex SimX.
Is there already a way to achieve this, or are there plans to introduce a gem5 wrapper around just the core?
If not, would there be interest in such functionality? I would be willing to implement it myself.
