The objective of this exercise is only to remove code that will never be executed, not to rewrite or improve the existing code. No new code should be added.
There is still some dead code remaining in both files. Could you continue cleaning it up?

Though the value "Jerry" is not used in the code, we still need to keep the variable declaration.
