This repository is a collection of backend system modules, built to develop a strong, practical understanding of core backend engineering concepts.
The focus is not on production-ready systems, but on:
- breaking down how things work internally.
- experimenting with different approaches.
- building intuition through hands-on implementation.
Each module is kept simple, modular, and easy to reason about.
Each module will have its own
README.mddetailing design decisions, implementation notes, and usage examples.
- ✅ Rate Limiter.
- ✅ Caching System.
- ✅ REST API System - Basic Crud operations with TTL.
- ✅ API Gateway - Refer to microservice boilerplate repo
- ✅ Logging System(Winston, Grafana, prometheus) - Refer to microservice boilerplate repo
- ⏳ Other modules — Planned and structured for phased implementation**.
The repository will progressively include the following backend system modules:
- Rate Limiting
- Caching System
- Job Queue / Background Worker
- REST API System
- Authentication & Authorization
- File Upload System
- Search System
- Pub‑Sub System
- Logging System
- API Gateway
Each module will focus on clean architecture, modularity, and maintainable design, reflecting real-world backend engineering practices.

└── README.md🛠️ Engineering Approach Modular Design: Each system is independent and extensible. Documentation-first: Each module includes detailed design decisions and implementation rationale. Production-oriented: Focus on scalability, maintainability, and clear code structure. Iterative Development: Build → document → improve → scale.
This approach mirrors real-world engineering practices used in designing backend systems for production environments.
