I'm Syed Mohammed Hussain, a Software Engineer passionate about building intelligent, scalable software at the intersection of AI, backend engineering, and modern full-stack development.

I currently work at FNB Corporation, where I develop backend services, workflow automation, ETL pipelines, and full-stack applications that power business-critical banking operations. Whether it's designing reliable APIs, improving existing systems, or automating complex workflows, I enjoy solving challenging engineering problems with clean, scalable solutions.

Before joining FNB, I worked at Amazon, where I gained experience building and maintaining large-scale software, collaborating across teams, and developing the engineering discipline required to ship reliable systems in a fast-paced environment. That experience strengthened my foundation as a software engineer and reinforced my passion for building products that operate at scale.

Today, my primary focus is becoming an exceptional AI Engineer while continuing to grow as a Full-Stack Engineer. I work extensively with Python, FastAPI, React, TypeScript, and cloud-native technologies, and I'm fascinated by the potential of large language models, agentic AI, retrieval systems, and intelligent developer tools. I spend much of my time building AI-powered applications, experimenting with new models and frameworks, studying distributed systems and system design, and exploring ways AI can meaningfully improve how software is built and used.

For me, software engineering isn't just a profession, it's something I genuinely enjoy. I love learning new technologies, building side projects, contributing ideas, and continuously pushing myself toward more ambitious engineering challenges. My long-term goal is to build AI systems and products that have real-world impact at scale.

Outside of engineering, I'm a passionate cricketer. The sport has taught me resilience, discipline, teamwork, and the importance of consistent improvement qualities that influence how I approach both software engineering and life.
