Pull request overview
This PR updates the test script’s #Requires -Modules directive to allow any Pester 6.x release (while still pinning the module GUID), replacing the previous exact pin to Pester 5.8.0. This aligns test discovery with a major-version lock so minor/patch updates don’t require follow-up PRs.
Changes:
- Replaced
RequiredVersion = '5.8.0'with a 6.x range usingModuleVersion = '6.0.0'andMaximumVersion = '6.999.999'. - Kept the module identity pin via the existing Pester module
GUID.

Moves the Pester test dependency from an exact
5.8.0pin to a 6.x major-version lock, now that Pester 6.0.0 is published.#Requires -Modules @{ ModuleName = 'Pester'; ModuleVersion = '6.0.0'; MaximumVersion = '6.999.999'; GUID = 'a699dea5-2c73-4616-a270-1f7abb777e71' }ModuleVersion+MaximumVersionaccept any Pester6.x, so routine minor/patch updates no longer need a PR — only a new major does.GUIDstill pins module identity. Both are enforced by PowerShell at discovery time.The install side is locked to the same major in PSModule/Invoke-Pester#70. Part of the dependency-management epic PSModule/Process-PSModule#356.
