Hi, I'm Yawen Guo

I am a PhD candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

My work spans optical communication systems, photonics experiments, digital signal processing, and machine learning.

I am currently building an engineering portfolio focused on:

  • Optical link budgeting and OSNR analysis
  • Coherent optical transceivers and receiver DSP
  • OIF 800ZR-aligned link simulation
  • PAM4 and high-speed optical communication
